Mr. Chatta Udomwongsa, FXA Chief Operating Officer, joined the celebration of Bihn An’s 5th anniversary and the successful implementation of the company’s traceability project on July 30, 2010. He met and had discussions with Mr. Hoang Van Phong, Minister of Science and Technology and Mr. Luong Le Phuong, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Binh An, also called Bianfishco, is the first Vietnamese company that has implemented electronic traceability. OpsSmart™, the traceability solution from FXA, is used to trace raw materials, help promote food safety and product quality. RFID and electronic scales are utilized not only for automation but also for increasing productivity and efficiency in the production line. IBM InfoSphere Traceability Server (ITS) was installed to trace from manufactures to retailers or even consumers. The Unique barcodes have been implemented at the individual box. Level This allows retailers to trace back based on EPCIS standard (from GS1) directly from the bar code.
