The Department of Livestock Development held a "Q-Food EXPO 2006 : Meat, Poultry and Dairy Products" at Impact Exhibition Center, Hall 7-8, Muangthong Thani, Nonthaburi during January 26-29, 2006. The objective is to communicate to public the outcome as well as the progress of the Government activities on Food Products production quality "from Farm to Table". The activities comprised various technical activities as well as stage performance both of technical and entertainment nature with the purpose to help educate the audience. One of the technical activities is the demonstration of Food Safety Standards.
FOOD TRACEABILITY: Shrimp tracked from farm to table9 September, 2005
Thailand is on the move to ensure the total safety of shrimps from its farms, no matter where in the world the consumer's dining table happens to be. Through the food-traceability project set up with collaboration of government ministries, two major shrimp manufacturers have been working on a pilot project to make it possible for consumers to check the origin of shrimp products using traceability software together with RFID (radio frequency identification) technology.

FOOD SAFETY : RFID technology to be applied to track shrimp from farm to export9 September, 2005
Their aim is to promote food safety for shrimps destined for export. The Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry and the Science and Technology Ministry are likely to join forces to increase traceability in food supply chains, while enhancing export capability by using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification).

Cattle Trace Check20 January, 2004
United Kingdom organizes a national check on records of all cattle in the country. The British Cattle Movement Service is planning to update its records on the Cattle Tracing System -- part of the United Kingdom’s computerized national traceability system for cattle. BCMS will be issuing statements to all U.K. cattle producers containing details of their stock that are registered on the CTS. The tracing system is one of the control measures for BSE and other livestock diseases.

Successful Road Show in China

FXA Presence at CIES International Food Safety Conference
The FXA Group will have a strong presence at the 2004 CIES Conference on Food Safety that will be held in Barcelona on 29th and 30th January. CIES, the leading global food business network with a membership of more than 400 major retailers and food suppliers is presenting the third annual international conference on food safety at Hotel Fira.
The Can-Trace Initiative
FXA staff recently gave a presentation on its OpsSmart™ solution to the Electronic Commerce Council of Canada (ECCC). The ECCC is the organisation charged by the Government of Canada with the task of ensuring that 80% of all Canada's food products will be fully traceable by 2008.
